Privacy Policy
URLShort ("we") operates urlshort.at. This policy describes how we process information when you shorten links or visit short URLs.
What we collect
- URLs you shorten — stored to provide the service.
- Anonymous creator ID — a random ID in your browser (localStorage) so you can list and manage your links without an account.
- Click analytics — when someone opens a short link, we may log a hashed IP prefix, coarse location (from CDN headers), device type, browser, OS, and referrer for aggregate statistics.
Cookies
We use minimal first-party storage (localStorage) for your creator ID. We do not run third-party ad trackers on the core service.
Retention
Links remain until deleted or expired per your settings. Analytics events are kept to operate statistics features.
